Richard M. Dolan has an MA in History from the University of Rochester and a BA from Alfred University. He has a certificate in Political Theory from Oxford University and was a Rhodes Scholar finalist
Dolan became interested in the UFO field around 1994 and is known for his work “UFO’s and the National Security State”, which states that the American government is trying to keep a lid on the whole UFO phenomenon. His work analyses the Roswell controversy, violations of airspace by unknown aircraft, the Condon committee, Robertson Panel and so on. He also highlights how the movement of the civilian anti-secrecy has been developed and was able to thrive in the 50s and 60s until the administration of Nixon took power.

Richard Dolan took part in several television shows and documentaries as part of a team that looks into various unusual events such as the UFO invasion of Rendlesham forest.
